How to build resilience in seasons of change

If only you knew how loved you are fear wouldn't stand a chance

Real talk - this week i had a scenario where stress leaded to distress and it made me think of YOU. How's you heart? How are you building everyday resilience, skills and strategy to get through this season with God at the centre.  Sis, I feel the spirit of God wants to remind us again that He is love. That fear doesn't stand a chance in His perfect love.   As I wrestled with my own challenges this week I wanted to share some tips and strategy for getting out of overwhelm and into purpose:

Learning how to build everyday resilience and overcome the heavy & the hard is possible for us all:

1. Learn how to distinguish God's voice from other voices. Sometimes this may be loud, and sometimes it may be found in the softest whisper: “After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12 (NIV) God's voice may ask us to do some things in obedience that we don't in our flesh want to do, but in my experience it always comes with a coating of peace and protection. This is the gift of His unshakeable peace that passes all understanding.  2. Let prayer do the work: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' Philippians 4:10 (NIV) 3. Worship BEFORE your breakthrough. Often we cant 'think' our way to breakthrough (striving in our own strength) but need to create space for the supernatural to work. Worship creates space for our hearts to turn and return to the one who holds all power and authority. As we gaze on His face and holiness, everything changes.  4. Rise up in authority, remembering that He is for you not against you and His plans and purposes are for GOOD.  5. Plan, put some strategy in place and release it to God knowing that He who started a good work in you is faithful to bring it to completion. Sis remember how God has been faithful before, He will be faithful again. Go back to these moments and remind yourself of the Truth of His character and heart for you. Not for one moment has he left you forsaken.  6. Release and surrender Sometimes we need to allow grace and the container of time to do its work. Time heals - and time will show the faithfulness and goodness of our God in working everything - even the hidden, the messy and the hard for His good.  7. God is love. His love will never fail you. Find your safety and strength in the 'secret place' with the one who loves and chose you first.  8. Find JOY Joy (different to happiness) is a fruit of the Spirit found in the presence of God. What are the places, spaces, people, mindsets that anchor this for you?  9. Declare strength over your struggle You CAN move forward Life CAN be different You CAN make new choices You CAN find healing and release You CAN move into the new Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the woman reading this. Help draw her closer to you, remind her of the safety of your presence and fill her with your peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus name, Amen.
